How to Install Microsoft Office 2021 Professional Plus Retail (Bind Version)

This guide explains how to activate and install
Microsoft Office 2021 Professional Plus Retail (Bind Version)
using the official Microsoft redemption portal.

The Bind version requires you to redeem your product key online at
setup.office.com before downloading Office.

Important: You must sign in with a Microsoft account to redeem the product key.
Once redeemed, the license becomes linked to that Microsoft account.

Step 1 — Uninstall Previous Office Versions (If Installed)

If Microsoft 365 or another Office edition is already installed on your device,
remove it first to avoid conflicts.

Step 2 — Redeem Your Office 2021 Retail Key

  1. Open your browser and go to:
    https://setup.office.com
  2. Sign in with your Microsoft account
    (or create one if you do not have one).
  3. Enter your 25-character product key.
  4. Select your country and language.
  5. Click Next to redeem the license.

After successful redemption, Office 2021 Professional Plus Retail will be permanently linked to your Microsoft account.

Step 3 — Download Office 2021

  1. After redemption, click Install Office.
  2. The Office installer file will download automatically.
  3. Run the downloaded file.
  4. Wait for installation to complete.

The installer runs automatically and does not require manual configuration.

Step 4 — Complete Activation

After installation:

  1. Open Word or Excel.
  2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account used during redemption.
  3. Office will activate automatically.
